Associate Veterinarian — Weekend Urgent Care

New Smyrna Beach Animal Medical Center is expanding weekend urgent care services and seeking a motivated Associate Veterinarian to join our team. This veterinarian will be providing urgent and urgent-to-primary veterinary care in a fast-paced, collaborative clinic.

What you’ll do

• Provide urgent medical and surgical care for a broad caseload (trauma, acute illness, lacerations, urgent soft-tissue procedures).
• Triage and stabilize emergency patients; perform diagnostics (radiographs, point-of-care lab work).
• Communicate treatment plans and prognosis clearly with clients.
• Coordinate with the weekday primary care team for follow-up care and continuity.
• Maintain medical records, ensure quality of care, and follow hospital protocols.

Job Description

What We’re Looking For

• DVM or equivalent degree with eligibility for Florida licensure

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with confidence in urgent care or general practice medicine

• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care

• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for building something new

• Interest in helping shape the future of a growing urgent care practice

Qualifications

• Full Time OR Part Time Urgent Care Veterinarian
• Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator
• Proficient in general medicine and surgery 
• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
• Active Veterinary State License 
• USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
