Heart Medications for Dogs

Cardiac failure in old-age dogs is very common. But the cure for dogs’ heart failure is also available. The medication and treatment depend upon the severeness of a cardiac attack. Vetmedin is one of the best heart medicine which delays the onset of dogs’ heart failure and helps cure enlarged heart disorders. Dogs with advanced heart failure can survive approximately one year. Veterinary experts suggest furosemide, an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor for congestive heart disease. Unfortunately, heart medications for dogs also have some side effects, including poor appetite, diarrhea, and weakness. Amiodarone, Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, Atenolol, Carvedilol, Digoxin, and Diltiazem, are common medications for dogs’ cardiac failure. Always use medicines recommended by a veterinarian.
