Position Overview
Job Description: SRT (Sterile Resource Technician)
Overview: An SRT is primarily responsible to ensure all departments in the hospital have clean, sterile tools, PPE and equipment readily available for delivering patient care. To help the surgery department and provide them with support with various tasks. By providing this support, the surgical staff can focus on surgeries, releases, call backs, faster turnaround times between surgeries and increase the daily case load.
Responsibilities
- Meticulously clean surgical instruments
- Instrument care
- Wrap surgical packs
- Become certified to run gas sterilizer
- Autoclave surgery packs and run the gas sterilizer
- Surgical supplies inventory
- Clean operating rooms between surgeries
- End of day deep clean operating rooms
- Be available to assist in patient restraint when needed
- Surgery closing list
- Assist surgical nurses in surgeries
- Assit in ER procedures
- Other job duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be familiar with surgical instruments and supplies
- Must know how to use the autoclave and gas sterilizer
- Must know how to trouble shoot autoclave and perform monthly maintenance
- Must know how to set up and prep the operating rooms for surgery
- Must be able to do inventory at least twice a week
- Must have knowledge on how to put together different surgical packs and surgical caddies
- Must be able to multitask and deal with changing priorities each day
Requirements
At least one-year experience in the veterinary medical field

Pay $18.00-$20.00/hr
