Position Overview

General Practice + Urgent Care | No Overnights | Flexible Shifts | Pet Benefits

At Sploot Veterinary Care, we believe teams that feel genuinely supported deliver genuinely better medicine. We've built a workplace around that belief — and we're looking for a skilled, team-minded Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join us in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Whether you're a seasoned tech or a few years into your career, you'll find mentorship, variety, and a team that has your back every shift.

What Makes Sploot Different

  • Work-Life Balance by Design — Flexible 10- or 12-hour shifts with no overnights and no on-call. Your schedule works for you.
  • A Team That Invests in You — Daily mentorship from experienced doctors and nurses who are always available to guide, teach, and support.
  • General Practice Meets Urgent Care — A diverse, ever-changing case mix that keeps your skills sharp and your days interesting.
  • Modern Tools for Modern Medicine — Access to laparoscopic surgery capabilities and CoVET AI Scribe, so documentation doesn't slow you down.
  • Your Pets Are Family Too — Free, at-cost, or deeply discounted care for up to five of your own pets.

A Day in the Role

  • Partner with veterinarians on surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, treatments, and diagnostics.
  • Perform blood draws, IV catheter placement, radiographs (including dental), lab work, and medication and vaccine administration.
  • Help pet parents feel informed and at ease — clearly communicating care plans and aftercare instructions.
  • Keep digital medical records accurate and complete, supported by AI scribe tools.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized clinic environment.
  • Mentor veterinary assistants and contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

What Makes You A Great Fit

  • Credentialed and licensed in Colorado — CVT, RVT, or LVT in good standing. Credentials required.
  • 1+ year of clinical vet tech experience. Urgent or emergency care background is a plus — but not a requirement. We'll train the right person.
  • A collaborator at heart — communicative, flexible, and ready to step in where the team needs you.
  • Detail-oriented and composed — you thrive in a fast-paced setting and look for ways to improve how things work.
  • Compassionate with patients, patient with clients, and genuinely motivated to grow.

  • Bonus points if you bring:
    • Experience in urgent or emergency care settings
    • Interest or hands-on experience in dentistry or anesthesia

The Perks of the Pack

  • $26–$29/hour based on experience, plus 1.5x pay on Sploot-recognized holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with a generous employer contribution; HSA option available
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 80 hours of PTO to start (grows with tenure), plus 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Full reimbursement for Colorado technician licensure fees and up to 10 hours of CE annually
  • Sploot-branded FIGS scrubs provided, plus unlimited snacks and regular team events
  • Generous pet care discounts for your own animals

We're building the future of veterinary medicine — one clinic, one case, and one team member at a time. If you want a career that's fulfilling, well-supported, and genuinely fun, Sploot is the place to grow it.

Come see what your future looks like from here.

According to Colorado state law, our company practices continuous hiring, ensuring equal opportunity employment and ongoing consideration for qualified candidates. We welcome applications year-round and are committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce.
