Position Overview
The Pharmacology Innovation Lead is a senior scientific role at the center of our wellness ecosystem. You are the "Chief Alchemist" behind the Zen-Bite product line and our future proprietary supplements. This role is unique: you won't just be formulating products in a vacuum; you will be utilizing real-time biometric data from our Vibe-Check Smart Collars to measure the physiological efficacy of your formulations.
Your mission is to redefine pet "calm" by creating evidence-based, data-validated supplements that bridge the gap between traditional medicine and functional nutrition.
Responsibilities
1. Product Formulation & R&D
-
Next-Gen Supplements: Lead the research, development, and testing of new iterations for the Zen-Bite line and upcoming wellness products (e.g., joint health, cognitive support).
-
Bioavailability Optimization: Ensure every ingredient—from L-Theanine to specialized adaptogens—is formulated for maximum absorption and clinical impact.
-
Flavor Science: Work with our palatability team to ensure our supplements are not only effective but also highly appealing to both dogs and cats.
2. Data-Driven Efficacy Testing
-
Biometric Feedback Loops: Collaborate with our data team to run "Vibe-Check" trials. You will analyze how your formulations specifically affect heart rate variability (HRV), sleep cycles, and cortisol-related activity patterns.
-
Clinical Trials: Design and oversee internal pilot studies to validate the "Peace of Mind" claims of our products before they hit the market.
3. Regulatory & Safety Leadership
-
Compliance Oversight: Ensure all products meet or exceed AAFCO and NASC (National Animal Supplement Council) standards.
-
Quality Assurance: Establish rigorous testing protocols for raw material purity and final product stability.
-
Toxicology Monitoring: Serve as the primary expert on ingredient safety and potential contraindications with common veterinary medications.
