Managing Veterinarian Opportunity

$175,000–$210,000+ DOE | Management Bonuses | Sign-On/Relocation Bonus


Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital is seeking either an experienced Managing Veterinarian or an experienced Associate DVM interested in stepping into a leadership role with structured support and mentorship.


Whether you are already leading a hospital or are a strong clinician ready to grow into a Medical Director role, this position is designed to meet you where you are—providing leadership transition support, training, and operational partnership so you can succeed long term.

Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital has proudly served the East Bay community for 30+ years, delivering affordable, high-quality, compassionate small animal care. We are a progressive, full-service practice equipped with:

  • Digital radiology

  • Ultrasound

  • Full in-house laboratory

  • Anesthesia monitoring

  • Access to boarded orthopedic surgeons and radiologists

New Facility (Opened 2022):

  • 5 exam rooms

  • Dedicated acupuncture area

  • Dual dental suite setup

  • Separate surgery room

  • Dedicated imaging room (x-ray & ultrasound)

  • Paperless medical records

Your Leadership Mission

As Managing Veterinarian, you will:

  • Provide medical leadership and oversee case management

  • Mentor and develop associate DVMs and support staff

  • Establish medical protocols and uphold quality standards

  • Partner closely with the Hospital Manager on operations, financial performance, and compliance

  • Foster strong client relationships and community engagement

  • Build a positive, collaborative, and sustainable workplace

For Associate DVMs stepping into leadership, responsibilities will scale with training and support.
