The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for providing high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive healthcare to companion animals while fostering exceptional client relationships and collaborating effectively with the veterinary healthcare team. This role combines medical expertise, clinical decision-making, leadership, client education, and mentorship to ensure the highest standards of patient care and hospital excellence.
Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans.
- Diagnose and manage medical conditions.
- Perform preventive healthcare examinations.
- Administer vaccines and preventative medications.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor hospitalized patients.
- Manage emergency and urgent care cases.
- Develop individualized patient care plans.
- Provide pain management and palliative care.
