As a Veterinary Technician here, you’ll put your skills to use every single day—assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthesia, running diagnostics, providing treatments, and educating clients. Key Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care for dogs and cats
• Obtain and record accurate patient histories and vital signs
• Assist veterinarians with physical exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans
• Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and fecal samples
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and assist with radiology and other diagnostics
• Place IV catheters, administer medications, and monitor patients under appropriate supervision
• Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
• Monitor anesthesia and recognize changes in patient status
• Provide appropriate patient restraint and handling with an emphasis on low-stress care
• Educate clients on medications, preventative care, nutrition, and at-home treatment plans
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the veterinary team
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and surgical areas
• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team members
• Support a positive, professional, and compassionate hospital culture
• Continue developing technical skills and knowledge through ongoing learning and training
