Veterinary Assistant

Animal Clinic of Millville is seeking a full or part time veterinary technician and/ or assistant to be part of our team at our full-service animal hospital. The ideal candidate is a great multi-tasker, efficient worker, friendly and dependable. Being able to work as part of a team is a must! Your duties would involve all aspects of the hospital including customer service, exam room duties, running lab work, kennel tasks and helping the surgery technicians. Duties include, but are not limited to: animal restraint (including some lifting), learning vaccine protocols, drawing up and administering injections, phlebotomy, taking radiographs, running blood work, client education, and cleaning. The ideal candidate has good time management skills, is reliable and punctual, and can integrate as a member of a team.. 

- Animal restraint/ lifting

- Client education

- Using in house laboratory equipment

- Blood draws

- Drawing up vaccines/ injections

- Giving injections

- Taking radiographs/ positioning radiographs

- Cleaning

- Stocking

- Filling medications/ going over medications with clients

- May include assisting in recovering surgical patients

- Taking efficient notes and inputting into the practice management software
