Once part of the original Center Ranch community founded by Finis Welch, this historic site has long served as a haven for equine, cattle, and small animal enthusiasts. After a brief closure in 2021, East Lake Veterinary Hospital proudly reopened the facility, reviving its legacy and expanding our footprint into Centerville, Texas.

Spanning 94 acres , our dual-hospital campus features:

• 111 oversized stalls

• Large and small animal surgical suites

• On-site Coggins laboratory and diagnostic imaging

About the Role

We’re seeking a visionary Director of Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation to lead our equine and large animal performance care initiatives. This role combines clinical excellence with strategic oversight—ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in collaborative environments and is ready to grow a center of excellence in sports medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and expand our Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation program

• Collaborate with referring veterinarians, clients, and trainers to develop and deliver individualized treatment plans

• Integrate advanced diagnostics and therapeutic technologies into care plans

• Mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team of veterinarians and support staff

• Contribute to strategic planning for growth and innovation in equine performance care

Ideal Candidate Traits:

• DVM with experience in equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, or related specialty

• Board certification or residency training in relevant discipline preferred but not required

• Skilled in diagnostic imaging, lameness evaluation, and integrative care
