Job Description

Equine Associate Veterinarian – Mentorship & Growth Opportunity

If you’re looking for a collaborative equine practice where you can continue developing your skills while enjoying a strong team culture and quality of life, Allegheny Equine is looking to welcome a new associate veterinarian to our growing team!

Located in southwestern Pennsylvania, Allegheny Equine provides comprehensive ambulatory and hospital-based equine care to a diverse and loyal client base. We are seeking an enthusiastic veterinarian with interests in general practice, sports medicine, preventative care, emergency medicine, and client relationship building. Whether you are an experienced veterinarian or an early-career doctor seeking mentorship, you will find a supportive environment focused on professional development, teamwork, and high-quality patient care.

Our veterinarians work closely together, drawing on one another’s strengths to provide exceptional service and thoughtful, practical care for every patient. We value collaboration, reliability, communication, and a commitment to continually advancing the standard of equine veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate is motivated, adaptable, eager to learn, and enjoys building lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues.

Allegheny Equine is equipped with the tools and technology needed to provide excellent field and hospital care, including digital radiography, digital ultrasound, endoscopy, shockwave therapy, regenerative medicine therapies, and advanced dentistry capabilities. Our team is committed to delivering progressive medicine while maintaining the personalized approach that has made our practice a trusted resource within the equine community.

This full-time position offers a four-day workweek with shared participation in the rotating emergency call schedule. We offer competitive compensation, a signing bonus, a fully equipped ambulatory vehicle, coverage of licensing and professional membership fees, continuing education allowance, professional liability coverage, comprehensive benefits, and strong support for your long-term career goals and work-life balance.
