With extensive experience amongst the team and strong ties to the community, our well-established, multi-doctor practice is ready for a leader who is passionate about patient care, team development, and operational excellence. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring, guiding clinical standards, and staying hands-on with cases.

Why Step Into Leadership at Doddridge?

At Doddridge, we don’t just practice medicine – we lead with integrity and support one another like family. Our Medical Director will play a key role in upholding and advancing the high standards already in place, working closely with an experienced team in a low-turnover, high-morale environment. Our culture is laid-back, yet structured, and many of our staff members have been with us for over a decade, including our well-loved and highly respected hospital manager who has been with Doddridge for 13 years! That loyalty says it all!

Our Beautiful, Modern Facility Includes:

  • Six exam rooms plus one comfort/consult room
  • Separate surgery and dental suites
  • Spacious treatment area with four tables
  • Dedicated breakroom and private doctor’s office
  • Ample cage space for surgical and hospitalized patients

Equipment:

  • Newer ultrasound machine (less than 5 years old)
  • Modern dental suite with high-speed drill and suction
  • Digital radiography
  • Comprehensive in-house labs including chemistry, CBC, urinalysis, and CetaVue
  • And much more to support high-quality patient care!
Your Role as Medical Director:
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to our veterinary team
  • Set the medical vision for the hospital in collaboration with the practice manager
  • Maintain a high standard of care across all services
  • Guide new graduates and support ongoing CE for all doctors
  • Estimated Time Allocation: 90% Clinical Practice, 10% Admin & Managing Duties
What We Offer:
  • Highly competitive base salary and production bonuses (high earning potential)
  • Lucrative sign-on bonus
  • Leadership bonuses
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and wellness
  • Generous PTO to support a strong work-life balance
  • Medical, dental, vision, and wellness benefits
  • CE allowance, CE days
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Licensure dues/fees & PLIT
  • 4-day work week with rotating Saturdays
  • No emergency or on-call shifts
  • Career advancement with leadership development support
