Position Overview

  • Full-time, year-round position based at Delaware Park Racetrack, with additional opportunities at Fair Hill Training Center and surrounding areas.
  • Focus on racetrack medicine, sports medicine, soundness evaluations, and lameness.
  • Access to a fully equipped outpatient hospital with advanced diagnostic tools including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, gastroscopy and more.
  • For experienced vets: Clinical autonomy and the opportunity to bring your expertise into a respected, well-supported practice
  • For newer grads: Strong mentorship from experienced colleagues, case collaboration, and tailored professional development
  • Flexibility to pursue other areas of equine medicine beyond the racetrack, supporting your individual career interests and goals.
  • Supportive, team-oriented environment with commitment to client service and equine health.

Ideal Candidate Qualities

  • Strong hands-on equine experience; racetrack experience a plus
  • Internship-trained preferred; experience in lameness, imaging, and sports medicine highly valued.
  • DVM/VMD or equivalent, eligible for licensure in DE, MD, & PA
  • A confident, communicative veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced setting
  • Passion for racetrack medicine and a desire to build a fulfilling, long-term role

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) & relocation assistance
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • State licensing fees, AAEP, and AVMA memberships covered
  • $3,000 annual CE allowance
  • PLIT coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Strong support for professional development and career growth
  • Healthy work-life balance with flexibility to explore diverse practice interests
