Clinical Focus:
I provide interpretation and assist with clinical reasoning for companion animal, exotics/wildlife, equine, and food animals. Acquisitions and interpretations include radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine for all species. I focus on recommending appropriate tests and managing expectations for selection of imaging in addition to providing interpretation in the context of the case.
Research Focus:
My research interest is primarily on pulmonary pathology and improvement of imaging protocols to achieve a diagnosis
Other Significant Career Elements:
A major component of my role is teaching at all levels: students, house officers, and veterinarians. I developed and maintain the core radiology curriculum at LSU with an emphasis on critical thinking and clinical reasoning. It is my goal to demystify image interpretation and to make it achievable using a commonsense approach that is tangible to students.
