We can all relate to the pitfalls we encounter when taking dental radiographs. These challenges can cause anxiety and frustration when providing dental patients with the best care. This session will explore three areas you need to develop to decrease your retakes and improve your success rates. I call these the Triple-A - Anatomy, Angulation, and Alignment. I will teach you how to use the Triple-A concepts as a checklist when positioning for the best possible outcome or assessing your unsuccessful results to determine the next steps.

Agenda:

  • Basic dental anatomy
  • Radiographic features required to make a diagnosis
  • Important considerations: anatomy, angulation, and alignment
  • Checklist to follow to achieve diagnostic images
  • Recognizing the diagnostic usefulness of dental radiographs
